Steps
From ticks to a sample
-
01
Open the catalyst bars
Five temperatures from 200 °C to 400 °C, each with a mean and an SD whisker.
-
02
Read 300 °C
The mean is 78.0000 and the SD is 5.0000. The caps are 73 and 83.
-
03
Hide the whiskers
Switch to yield-bars to see the same means with no SD drawn.
-
04
Export the sample
The free CSV stays series, x, y. Mean and SD columns wait for the paid matrix.

Bar height is a length from the zero line, not from the bottom of the image. This bench draws each bar from data value 0 up to the mean, using the same anchors as a line chart. If your published axis does not include zero, type the printed limits anyway and read the mean from the top of the bar, not from a truncated baseline.
The catalyst preset is the default. Temperatures are 200, 250, 300, 350, and 400 °C. Means are 42, 61, 78, 74, and 63 percent. SDs are 3, 4, 5, 4, and 3. The 300 °C pair is the one the readout isolates: mean 78.0000, SD 5.0000, so the whisker caps sit at 73 and 83.
Yield-bars repeats those five means and omits the SD field. Use it to confirm the axis before you care about the whisker. Grouped bars are a different x scale, groups 1, 2, and 3, each its own series and color. Control is gray, low dose blue, high dose red. One point per series is enough for a bar.
The free CSV header is series, x, y even when an SD exists. Putting SD in the free file would give away the error-bar extract. The Pro dock can show the mean and the SD because you can already see the whisker. The downloadable column is the part that stays locked.
A whisker is not a second series. Tracing it as its own curve would put the cap into the table as a fake observation. The point record stores y and sd together. The canvas draws a vertical stroke with end caps. The legend still names the series Yield, not the whisker.
Grouped confidence intervals use the same sd field. The half-width is the number in the preset: 2.5, 3, and 4. This page does not decide whether that number was a standard deviation, a standard error, or a confidence limit in the paper. You label it when you cite the source.
Conversion, when you do know the definition, is the usual pair. SE = SD / √N and SD = SE × √N. N has to come from the paper, not from the ink. The meta-analysis page works one catalyst row with that formula and states that the page is not clinical advice.
Interpolation across bar categories is refused in the free sample. Five catalyst rows stay five rows. The sample count reads 5, not 10. A line chart on the other benches densifies because a curve implies values between vertices. A bar does not.
The paid matrix can still place those bars on a shared X if you ask for M rows. Only do that when the x positions are a real numeric scale, such as temperature, and you understand that intermediate rows are interpolated. For groups 1, 2, and 3, keep M small or export the raw points.
R² on a five-point yield curve is a descriptive fit, not a kinetic model. The pump page is where a quadratic is exact. Here the number is whatever least squares returns, formatted to four decimals, or a dash if the active series has fewer than two points. Grouped bars are one point each, so the dash is correct.
Proof width follows the sheet. Built-in bars are drawn at 800 px, under the 1200 px cap, with the PROOF band. A photo you upload reports its real pixel size, such as 640x400, and the proof width becomes the minimum of that width and 1200.
Switching among the three presets clears the previous bars. Catalyst, yield-bars, and grouped bars do not share a hidden cache. If the 300 °C readout shows a dash, the active figure has no point at x = 300. Yield-bars does have that x, with mean 78 and no SD, so the SD line is a dash.
Colors stay consistent with the rest of the family. A single yield series uses the red already used for Alloy A. Grouped doses use gray, blue, and red so the high dose is the strongest ink. The legend text is only the series name when one series is loaded.
Prices match the other benches: $8.99 for seven days, $11.99 monthly, $29 lifetime, with the crossed comparisons $17.99, $23.99, and $58. The unlock sentence names the matrix and the SD columns. A first visit sees that offer, not a message about a finished allowance.
Two longer notes sit beside the tool: curve digitizer online formulas and the scientific plot digitizer path for meta-analysis.

FAQ
Questions from the bench
What is the 300 °C catalyst bar?
The mean yield is 78 and the SD is 5, shown as 78.0000 and 5.0000. The whisker runs from 73 to 83. The free CSV does not grow an SD column. Mean and SD appear in the Pro preview and in the paid matrix when the points carry them.
How is yield-bars different?
It uses the same five means, 42, 61, 78, 74, and 63, and it draws no whiskers. Treat it as the step before you turn error bars on. It is not a new figure family. The catalyst preset is the one with SD.
What do the grouped bars store?
Three series, one point each: Control 22 ± 2.5, Dose Low 31 ± 3, Dose High 47 ± 4. Half-widths are those SD values. The free file still lists series, x, y. The SD stays out of that download.
Does a bar chart get the 0.5-step resample?
No. Bars keep the measured x positions. Interpolating between 200 °C and 250 °C would invent a yield the figure never drew. Lines without an SD are the series that densify to 21 rows. A whisker marks the point as measured, not as a polyline to fill in.
Where do Mean, SD, and SE land in a file?
In the paid log-interpolation pack, when any point has an SD or a lower and upper value. SE is SD / √N if you supplied N. If N is absent the SE cell is blank. The route still returns 402 until the pass is active.
Can the free proof show the whiskers?
Yes. The proof PNG is the sheet you see, including whiskers, at most 1200 px wide, with PROOF on the band. It is not the spreadsheet. The five catalyst means are visible on the canvas before any download.
